The celebration of the socio-cultural heritage of the entire people of Ikorodu division: Asa carnival is slated to hold on November 4th, 2017 at Ikorodu Ferry Terminal, Ikorodu, Lagos.
However, the event is set to witnesses the presence of Ooni of Ife, HRM, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Traditional rulers in Ikorodu division, Regents, Traditional Chiefs, Party chieftains, religious leaders, etc.
The aims and objectives of the socio-cultural group includes:
1. To serve as a mechanism to prosecute a rebirth of the cultural and tradition of Ikorodu that is fast going into oblivion;
2. Identifying and propagating the numerous tourist potentials of the ancient towns in Ikorodu division with a view to awakening consciousness to them;
3. Documenting and publishing the cultural, traditional and natural monuments and festival that could attract tourism to Ikorodu and seeking the attention of Government and securing the assistance and support of the Government and the Corporate Business Sector for the propagation and projection of outstanding monuments and traditional festivals among others
