Scores of villages drowned after a boat capsized in Zamare area of Yauri, Kebbi State, on Tuesday, October 3rd. 16 of the at least 50 people on the boat were killed while 17 are reported to have survived with others missing.
According to reports the victims were heading to the market when the incident occurred.
