Warning As Potentially Deadly Jellyfish Wash Up All Over British Beaches

A Cornish beach was closed this week due to an infestation of Portuguese Man Of Wars, which have stings that could potentially kill a human being but still aren’t anywhere near as exciting a reason to close a beach as that bit in Jaws.

The lethal ‘jellyfish like’ creatures are occasionally found in British seas, although there has been an unusually large concentration of them seen washed up on Perranporth Beach in Cornwall, leading to the beach closure. Other beaches across Britain are having to do the same.

It's said that even when they are dead, they can still kill.
