Steven Gerrard has expressed great fear that Liverpool might not be able to hold Coutinho back at the club. He added that it would take divine intervention for him not to leave Liverpool for Barcelona.
Coutinho was associated in a summer tag-of-war that caused him go AWOL from Liverpool during the end of the transfer window in a bid to force a deal through.
Steven Gerrard strongly believes that the club can no longer keep the Brazil International. He said during an interview by BT Sports that;
"The only way the club can keep Coutinho from leaving is through prayers. His dream is to go to Barcelona. "
He added "Honestly, Liverpool love him and are willing to keep him as long as possible."
